So, are cheap mopeds worth it? In a word: Yes. We think so.
Your moped is a runaround, or if you are just 16, a route to freedom. Sure, you can spend £2,000 or £3,000 on a moped if you want, but you can also spend £600 or £700 and get something just as practical. What’s more, for little more than that and way less than £800 you can go for a retro scooter which is my favourite style.
Mopeds and scooters have become ubiqitous. The quality of the manufacturing from the Far East is fantastic and so you can don’t really need to worry.
If you buy new, mopeds usually have a warranty for at least a year for piece of mind.
If you don’t want a cheap scooter and are super-sustainably-green and rich, you could always splash nearly £10,000 on an electric scooter.
